It's strange to have the question in his head answered before the one he spoke aloud, but Jackson is getting used to it. "Okay," he says after a moment, making a concerted effort to pull himself together. "I get it. I ... I can do this." If he has a brother, then he needs to a be a brother. It's the right thing to do.
